Freedive Certification
This is not a certification class. Certifications will be expected to be earned on your own time. Although we do not require a certification, some aspects of the club and some of the training we do does require previous experience in the sport. Until you are certified, you will not be able to participate in some of specific training exercises. It is highly recommended that you become certified so you can understand the physical and physiological parts of freediving while also getting the important safety training. The basic certification consists of pool and classroom training and allows you to participate in the pool. Level 1 involves open water dives and allows you to dive up in open water up to a max of 66ft but all skills are done at 33ft. For upcoming classes click here

Practice isn't required but attending as many as you can, as often as you can, is highly recommended. All of our upcoming practice dates, times and locations will be posted on our calendar and our Facebook page.

Come hang out with us and try out the club before you join! We want you to feel comfortable with the sport and try it out before you decide to stay. Come to one of our practice nights to get the basics and meet part of our team. We will start you off slow until you decide you want to stay.

Equipment
You will need freedive fins, a freedive mask, a freedive snorkel and a bathing suit. Freedive equipment is specific so please don't just purchase regular fins mask or snorkel and expect them to work the same as freediving equipment. If you have questions about where to purchase these feel free to get in contact with one of our club representatives.
It is also highly recommended that you get an exposure suit and something to carry everything in, but not required. We can also help you rent out equipment for our practice sessions.
